AVID 101
Explore the AVID system, including AVID’s why, the AVID College and Career Readiness Framework, WICOR®, elementary, secondary, and more. This session is intended for those new to AVID and those who would like a refresher on these topics. Plan to bring a device to fully participate in this session. (Note: Smartphones, iPads, and Galaxy tablets are not recommended.)
AVID is hosting synchronous virtual AVID 101 sessions (see schedule below).
Participants interested in attending any of these sessions can register through MyAVID.
Click on the “Event Registration” tab and select “Register myself for an event.” In the Event Type drop-down, select “Educator Events.”
If you would prefer to review the content on your own, please explore this asynchronous AVID 101 version at your own pace. Once you have completed this activity, you will be able to download a certificate of completion.
This year, we are offering an opportunity for Summer Institute attendees new to AVID to attend an AVID 101 pre-session on-site.
AVID 101 is an optional pre-session open to anyone registered for Summer Institute; it does not require any additional registration.
This pre-session is offered at Summer Institute the day before the event (Day 0) from 4:00–5:30 pm.
